The fact that older business leaders tend to drift into a vision of themselves as 'beneficial grandfather' like figures is well known. David Gold is a classic example of such a man.
All the business gets done by DS and Karren Brady but he still gives his opinions to them and supports them with financial backing even though DS is now majority shareholder. That should be enough for us.

Johnson, I know people that had access to the exact state of WHU economics at the time G & S took over.
We were £100 million in debt, G & S put up cash of just less than £20 million and used there assets to cover 50% of the purchase. 50% being owned by Icelandic Bank consortium.
They eventually paid down the debt and purchased the other 50%.
They invested in players and new management during that time.
If that's not 'ploughed' then I don't know what is?
Perhaps you would have preferred Tony Fernandes.

It seems that a good majority of our supporters like having them as Chairmen. The financial records show how much they have ploughed into our club and there is absolutely no doubt, we are now positioned very well financially, to sustain our premiership status and push on beyond mid table mediocrity.
Under their tutelage we have reached a position with a tremendous squad, an exciting new manager. a new stadium and even greater financial security to drive forward to greater heights.
I like what they have done for the club. I just don't like David Sullivan when he (continues) to make a fool out of himself.

The ONLY people to have ever suggested that BERKS Inc saved us from going bust are BERKS Inc.
Now given their by now obvious propensity for bullshitting and the FACT that they contrived to RELEGATE us in their first full season yet we still managed to spend the MOST in the league on OAF and Nolan amongst others, how big a pinch of salt do you want to take the suggestion we were hours from bankruptcy put out by said BERKS?
